In this study, we present a hydrogel tweezer consisting of two different layers with significantly different stiffness and capacity to uptake water in response of the environments. This multi-layered hydrogel tweezer was prepared by assembling a bi-layered hydrogel, in which each layer consisted of poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylates with different environment-responsive molecules. This hydrogel tweezer was examined the effects of the multi-layered hydrogel tweezer on stimulating and regulating tumor cell clusters of the morphology, growth rates, and proangiogenic growth factor production. |
