New Thiolated Polyene Chromophores with large molecular optical nonlinearity and low absorption |
초록 |
In conventional NLO chromophores, dialkylamino and alkyloxy groups have been introduced for electron donor groups. However, the chromophores based on thiolated electron donors have been rarely investigated. Here five new nonlinear optical (NLO) chromophores with thiolated group as an electron donor have been synthesized and characterized. In finite field calculation, thiolated polyene chromophores, exhibit similar or higher first-order hyperpolarizability(βmax) compared to dialkylamino and alkoxy groups analogues. Moreover, the thiolated chromophores exhibit large blue shift, (i.e. low absorption cut-off edge) which is very useful for photochemical stability and low two photon absorption with all optical applications. |
