Electrochemical Performance of Biowaste-derived Hard Carbon as Anode Materials for Sodium-ion Batteries |

Carbonaceous materials derived from biowaste have been studied intensively due to their abundant, low-cost and eco-friendly nature which suits them as the most promising anode materials for sodium-ion batteries. In this study, we have carried out the synthesis of hard carbon derived from a biowaste source by using carbonization technique. We have modified the pre-treatment process by both physically and chemically in order to investigate the difference in their structure, graphitization degree, porosity, and morphological behaviour of the materials. An in-depth comparative work in the electrochemical performances has been carried out in order to assess the most preferable synthetic process of the biowaste-derived hard carbon as anode materials for sodium-ion batteries. |
