The detection of heavy metal ions is highly significant in many applications, including environmental monitoring and waste management. In this work, we employed electrically conductive membrane composites to detect heavy metal ions in water. First, cellulose membranes were coated with conducting polymers by using vapor-deposition polymerization. Conducting polymers have reversible doping/dedoping process, which allows the electrochemical detection of heavy metal ions. Second, polysulfone membranes with controlled pore sizes were prepared via a phase inversion process. Third, for sensing the instantaneous improves the conductivity of Polypyrrole / Cellulose. Way for it, the molar concentration of FeCl3(Initiator), the reaction required for the amount of Pyrrole, the washing method After polymerization and as a variable reaction times were tested. The resulting conductive membrane composites displayed good sensing performance for various heavy metal ions in aqueous solution. |
