Preparation And Properties of Hybrid Polymer Coatings Based on Poly(Vinyl Alcohol)/Clay Nanocomposite Films |
초록 |
In recent years, there is an increased demand in the polymer industry for producing packaging films that are more barrier and stronger than those already on the market. Recent researches on the properties of a novel class of composite materials known as polymer/clay nanocomposites (PCNs) indicate that they could be employed for this purpose. Properties such as super mechanical strength, high modulus, reduction in weight, as well as improved barrier properties against liquids, gases and vapors are achievable with this novel composite. In this work, we have tried to improve of barrier property by using oligomer of different structure (linear and branch). The polymer coating layer was prepared to reduce the oxygen affinity and the water affinity by interactions between PVA matrix and oligomer. |
