제목 | Optimization of the alginate bead size for the nutrient removal |
초록 | Removal of nitrogen and phosphorous in water system is essential to prevent environmental problems such as eutrophication. Although many studies on nutrients removal using microalgae have been reported, there was a little information for the immobilized microalgae. Immobilized microalgae can provide a high cell density in the reactor, which was good for reducing lag period. The aim of this study was to determine the optimal alginate bead size for high nutrients removal effciency. The nutrients removal rates were examined under various diameters of alginate beads (2.0, 3.5, and 5.0 mm).
