제목 Solubilization of Chemically Reduced Graphene Oxide through Environmentally Friendly Synthesis Using Catechol in Coffee and Table-top Red Wine
초록 The chemical reduction of graphene oxide (GO) typically involves highly toxic reducing agents that are hazardous to human health and environment, and complicated surface modification is often needed to avoid aggregation of the reduced GO during reduction process. We show reduced graphene oxide (rGO) with coffee and table-top red wine can be synthesized by using environmentally friendly mussel-inspired chemistry without any reducing agents. (+)-catechin and tannic acid present in wine and, chlorogenic acid(CA) exists in coffee. These polyphenol compounds estimated that reduce and functionalize GO toward rGO. Prepared wine/rGO or coffee/rGO assembly was not harmful, optically clear and stable for more than 6 months. This approach should find practical applications in large-scale production of widely soluble graphene.
