제목 | Preparation of Chitosan-EGF Conjugates (CEC) and Its Biocompatibility |
초록 | Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) has been reported that EGF accelerates self-renewal capacity in epidermal cell. The use of EGF can lead to great effect in wound repair and anti-wrinkle effect. But in the body, the half-life of EGF is too short to influence the biological activity when utilized in free form. Growth Factors can be stabilized by photo-immobilization. Chitosan derivative was prepared by akalization, tosylation, azidation, and reduction of chitosan. The structure of chitosan derivative was confirmed by FT-IR, 1H NMR and elementary analysis. EGF was immobilized with chitosan derivative by using carbodiimide. In conclusion, CEC didn’t show any cytotoxicity. So chitosan derivative is suitable to immobilize of growth factor.
