Developing next-generation rechargeable batteries employing synchrotron x-ray analysis |
초록 |
It is imperative to better understand the structure-property relationship of battery materials during charge-discharge cycles for developing new materials with improved electrochemical properties. Synchrotron-based x-ray techniques such as x-ray diffraction (XRD) and x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) are ideal and powerful methods for in situ studies of electrochemical systems (e.g., batteries and supercapacitors). In this presentation, the structural investigation of secondary battery materials, including Li- and Na- ion batteries, using such synchrotron-based x-ray tools to reveal reaction and degradation mechanisms during cyclings. |
