제목 Mechanical Properties and in vitro Characterization of Hyaluronic Acid-Gelatin-Bioactive glass Composite for Tissue Regeneration
초록 Composite scaffolds of homogeneously mixed hyaluronic acid (HA), gelatin (G) and bioactive glass (BG) incorporated with BMP2 were fabricated with variable component compositions of bioactive glass. The goals of this study were to analyze the mechanical properties of produced composite scaffolds as well as to assess the effects of adding BG to the composite scaffolds on attachment, proliferation, and chondrogenic differentiation of human adipose stem cells. In BG composite scaffolds, a significant amount of cartilage-specific extracellular matrix components was deposited as compared with HA/G scaffolds. Additionally, BG containing composite scaffolds displayed greater promotion of collagen type II expression than only HA/G scaffolds. The mechanism, based on which cell adhesion was influenced, was examined. In summary, the results describe the establishment of a class of composite polymer scaffolds, consisting of hyaluronic acid, gelatin and bioactive glass which are potentially useful for cell-based tissue engineering approaches using stem cells for chondrogenic differentiation.
