제목 Synthesis of Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanocubes and their stabilization by using PEO Based Prodrugs
초록 Living anionic ring-opening polymerization of ethylene has been used for preparation of block copolymer. In this study, poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) -b- poly(N-phenylmaleimide) was first synthesized by sequential monomer addition technique, followed by deimidation using hydrazine hydrate under the acidic condition leading to the generation of corresponding PEO -b- poly(cyclic hydrazide). The resulting compounds were found to be very efficient to be utilized for synthesis of polymer prodrugs such as PEO-Doxorubicin and PEO-Methotraxate (MTX) conjugates. Depending on the reaction condition, those conjugates became ‘smart’ drug-nanocarriers which could be used as polymeric stabilizers or fluorescent imaging materials. Superparamagnatic nanocubes were stabilized by these polymer prodrug conjugates. In this presentation, we report the preliminary results for preparation of the ‘smart’ materials to be used in the drug delivery system
