Modified polyethylene glycol was synthesised between polyethylene glycol and fatty acid. Modified polyethylene glycol functioned as plasticizer which excelled thermal-stability and crystallinity, and is endowed lubricants which added elasticity and flexibility in plastic sheet. The effect of modified polyethylene glycol on tensile strength, elongation at yield and young modulus was measured. Using modified polyethylene glycol exhibited significant improvement in mechanical properties, which were studied, and the results are discussed.
