제목 | Well-aligned CNTs grown on AAO template applied to a new triode-type field emission device |
초록 | The electron properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been well known for applying to field emission devices and attracted much interest of the researchers in recent years. However, the challenges for field emission device application are fluctuation in length of CNTs and weak adhesion to substrates, as well as leakage current gate. A new triode-type field emission using CNTs synthesized on an anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) template was fabricated. The emitter structure is characterized by uniform heights and diameters, as well as high mechanical stability. The suitable structure of the triode-type field emission device was examined. The high current density of 5 mA/cm2 and factor of 1.5x106 cm-1 is achieved. And also the leakage current was reduced to near zero by covering thin insulator on the gate. This research was performed with the financial support of the Center for Nanostructured Materials Technology (M105KO010023-05K1501-02410), grant No R01-2004-10104-0 from ministry of science & technology, and KRF-2001-E00042. |
