High current density and low turn on voltage of carbon nanotubes on anodic aluminium oxide template based triode type field emission device |

The carbon nanotube synthesized on anodic aluminium oxide template based triode type field emission device was fabricated. Thermal chemical vapor deposition was used to synthesize high crystalline carbon nanotube on the very uniform in diameter of nano-channels of anodic aluminium oxide template. The titanium buffer layer is inserted between anodic aluminium oxide template and silicon substrate to increase the physical and electrical contact properties of carbon nanotube with substrate. Sensible configuration structure and crystalline of carbon nanotubes in the triode type field emission gained the high current density of 20 mA cm-2 and low turn on voltage of gate at 20 V. The very high field enhancement factor of 6 106 cm-1 demonstrates the high achievement of triode structure. |
