제목 Effect of Zirconia Particles on Gel Strength and Gelation Induction Time in Acrylamide Polymerization
초록 The importance of nano process technology for energy storage material, flexible device material, and hazardous material is increasing.  The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of zirconia particles on acrylamide polymerization in order to understand gel strength and sufficient process time. The gelation induction time and storage elastic modulus of gels prepared by polymerization of acrylamide (AM) and AM including zirconia were compared and analyzed.

The gelation induction time and gel strength was depended on the presence or absence of zirconia particles and the polymerization temperature of acrylamide. As the polymerization temperature increased, the gelation induction time decreased rapidly. When the zirconia particles were added to the aqueous acrylamide solution, the gelation induction time was shortened, but the gel was obtained with high storage modulus.
