Recently, a great deal of attention has been paid for the preparation of hydrotalacites (LDH) and hydrotalacite-like materials, because of their potential applications in the field of catalysis, anion exchangers and absorbents. Here, we firstly combined the urea hydrolysis and microwave irradiation to fast synthesize the hydrotalcite with good hexagonal morphology. Different parameters were investigated such as Mg/Al mole ratio, reaction temperature, microwave power and reaction time. All of these hydrotalcite samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, simultaneous thermogravimetric/differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA), liquid nitrogen adsorption and Scanning electron micrograph (SEM). |
