As an overview of the current status of the primo system (PS) research, the following questions will be addressed. What is the PS, and what are its structure and functions? Who had first discovered it, who else were the early pioneers, and why were their results not reproduced by others? What were the main results found by the Seoul National University group since its commencement of research on reinvestigation of PS in 2002? What types or subsystems of PS were observed during investigation? What animals were used by the researchers? Why is it difficult to observe and identify the PS structure? Who are currently doing the research on PS and/or are interested in the PS research worldwide? What are the future perspectives of the PS research? |
