제목 | Fully Aliphatic Polyimidosiloxanes-Influence of Adamantyl group on the microstructure and properties |
초록 | Since poly(imide-siloxanes) (PISi) possess several advantages such as ease of processing, low dielectric constant and superior adhesion, they have been recommended for microelectronic applications such as protective overcoating and dielectric interlayers. Aliphatic polyimide-siloxanes can be a better choice devoid of the demerits of aromatic polyimides such as low transparency. Bulky pendent alicyclic compounds such as adamantane moieties can improve the thermal stability of the polyimide-siloxanes. In the present study we have synthesized a series of fully aliphatic polyimidoziloxanes (PISi) by poly(addition/condensation) reaction of bicyclo [2,2,2] oct-7-ene-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylic dianhydride (BOCA) or cyclobutane-1,2,3,4-tetracarboxylic dianhydrides (CBCA) and varying compositions of 1.3-bis(3-amino propyl)-tetra methyl disiloxane (APTMS) and rigid adamantyl diamines, 1,3 diamino adamantane (DAA) or 3,3’ diamino 1,1’ diadamantane (DADA), flexible alicyclic diamines, 4,4’- methylene bis cyclohexylamine (MCA) or 4,4’-methylene bis(2-methyl cyclohexylamine) (MMCA). High temperature, one step synthesis in m-cresol was employed to obtain high molecular weight PISis with intrinsic viscosity between 0.36 – 0.56 dL/g. The final materials were characterized at the molecular level by NMR, IR and 29Si-MAS-NMR spectroscopic analysis and at macroscopical level by Thermogravimetric and Differential scanning calorimetric analysis, and Wide angle X-ray Diffractometry. UV-Visible spectra revealed the optical behavior of the polyimides. |
