제목 Adsorptive separation of light hydrocarbons via polyMOFs
초록 Adsorptive separation using porous solid adsorbents such as zeolite and metal-organic frameworks (MOF) could be one of the key alternative means to current energy-intensive separation methods. PolyMOFs were hybridized porous materials combining metal organic framework (MOF) and polymer. Compared to general MOFs, in polyMOFs organic ligands constituting the crystal lattice were connected by repeated space linker. The effect of organic chains to crystal structure and pore space of polyMOFs were characterized through Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD) and 77K nitrogen physisorption. Considering that calculated pore size of selected polyMOF (polyIRMOF-1-7a) was near 7Å, polyMOFs can selectively adsorb light hydrocarbons in specific range. In addition, existence of connected organic chain affect the sorption and diffusion characteristics of adsorbate inside of the pore channel, endowing interesting separation ability to polyMOFs compared to general MOFs. Adsorption characteristics of light hydrocarbons were analyzed through adsorption isotherms and pressure decaying curves. Diffusion and sorption selectivity of each light hydrocarbons were calculated based on analyzed data.
