Due to environmental pollution problems with using too much air conditioning, many studies have been conducted to solve this problem. Among many alternatives which can reduce refrigerant gas emissions, adsorption chiller system with a low to medium heat on the 70~90℃ has been attracting attention. In order to commercialize the system, adsorbents in the system should adsorb and desorb water vapor between specific water vapor pressures. An aluminum-based water adsorption material known as FAPO4-5, which is iron containing aluminum phosphate zeolite, was prepared and characterized by several techniques such as scanning electron microscope(SEM), H2O adsorption-desorption isotherm and x-ray diffraction(XRD). In addition the water adsorption properties according to the coating of adsorbent were analyzed to predict the actual system. |
