Harmful green-tide(HGT), bring about serious threats to aquatic life, human health, water quality, commercial fisheries, and coastal aesthetics, is a worldwide issue. Currently, to overcome these obstacle, soil as algicidal compound have been used as algicide against green-tide. However, soil compound is sunken just HGT without algicidal effect, which is caused of death in limnobios by eutrophication. In this study, to flocculate and remove from HGT, we used to chitosan as natural polymer. It is well known as material of non-toxicity and uninfluenced in freshwater and natural ecosystem. In addition, chitosan has a free amine group, and it can interact between chitosan and HGT of negative-surface charge. Chitosan with these propertise suggest that is possible as algicidal compound for effectively flocculation and inhibition against green-tide. (NRF-2014R1A2A1A10053027). |
