Development of marine alginate lyase nano-biocatalyst for the preparation of various oligomeric alginate |
| 초록 |
Alginate is an abundant polysaccharide in the cell walls of seaweed. It is a linear copolymer of (1-4)-linked β-D-mannuronate and α-L-guluronate residues in different sequences or blocks. Alginate has attracted much attention as the source for bio-functional oligomer and renewable resource for many applications. Recently, we have cloned and characterized the alginate lyase gene that possesses guluronate block-preferred degradation activity. The alginate lyase was formulated with nanoparticles for an efficient reuse. The alginate lyase nano-biocatalyst was used for the preparation of oligomeric alginate with different molecular size. |
