제목 | Preparation and Characteirzation of the Crosslinked Alginate - SIS sponge for Wound Dressing |
초록 | SIS is the natural biomaterials mainly composed of collagen, glycosaminoglycan and growth factors. Tissue engineering techniques have been investigated the possibility of the application of small intestine submucosa (SIS) for a wound dressing. It has been recently recognized that SIS has been examined as organ reconstructions without immuno-rejection response1. This study described the preparation and characterization of a three-dimensional and porous sponge made from alginate2 and SIS3. The alginate-SIS sponges were prepared by crosslinking method. Calcium chloride (CaCl2) and 1-ethyl-(3-3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide hydrochloride (EDC) were used as crosslinking agent and the amount of crosslinking agents were constant. Controlling the ratio of alginate and SIS, the prepared sponges were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR), porosity, and water uptake ability. Because the alginate-SIS sponge absorbed a high capacity of water, the sponges expect to absorb an exudation. We conformed that the crosslinked alginate-SIS sponge is useful as a wound dressing materials.
