Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrene sulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS)-based fuel cell support with vertically aligned pores |
초록 |
In this study, novel catalyst support based on PEDOT:PSS conducting polymer with vertically aligned pores were fabricated and applied to PEMFC. In spite of many advantages of PEMFC, the continuous performance degradation induced from corrosion of carbon-based catalyst support material inhibits its practical application. PEDOT:PSS has been investigated as a promising alternative material due to its higher electrochemical stability and electric conductivity. Here, we systematically controlled the morphology of PEDOT:PSS film using nanotransfer printing and anisotropic plasma etching to obtain vertically aligned pore structure and to improve mass transport of fuel cell devices. PEDOT:PSS-based structure showed well-defined mesh structure with a high aspect ratio and retained the morphology after water stability test. The PEDOT:PSS support exhibited not only enhanced electrochemical stability but also improved mass transfer as well as fuel cell performances. |
