An improved fluorinated rubber polymer material was synthesized with high performance and excellent properties as: heat-resistance or acid-alkali resistance, by an emulsion polymerization. This method uses tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and propylene (PP) gases as fluoride-agents to synthesize rubber copolymer, where the fluorine atoms locate around of the carbon chain. This phenomenon makes a change in the molecular structure that created outstanding properties. The fluorinated rubber can maintain its stable characteristics at 200300 °C. In the future, this material can be studied to apply in secondary battery, fuel cells etc. for environmental problems. |
