제목 Highly active and stable bimetallic Ni2W3N/NF electrocatalyst for Hydrogen evolution.
초록 Electrochemical water splitting is an eco-friendly method to produce hydrogen, but it is expensive because it uses noble metals as catalysts. Transition metal nitrides are attracting attention as non-noble HER catalysts replacing platinum because it has an electrical structure like platinum and has excellent electrical conductivity. Furthermore, the bimetallic catalysts can elevate the activity of monometallic catalysts as the synergistic effect between the two metals. We synthesized Ni2W3N on Ni foam using a modified urea glass route. In this method, urea is used for nitride formation, and Ni foam acts as Ni source with the role of a supporter.

The Ni2W3N /NF electrocatalyst showed remarkably HER activity with a low overpotential of only 13.84 mV at 10 mAcm-2, 81.56 mV at 50 mAcm-2, and 122.46 mV at 100 mAcm-2 in alkaline media (1 M KOH). In addition, it has excellent stability for 24 hours at 10 mAcm-2,50 mAcm-2.
