Recognition and release properties of thermosensitive allopurinol-imprinted starch based biomaterial films. |

In this study, functional biomaterials were prepared by mungbean starch (MBS), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), poloxamer (PX) as a thermosensitive material, sodium benzoate (SB) as a photoinitiator, allopurinol (ALP) as the target drug, and plasticizers. ALP imprinted biometerial films were prepared by using casting method and UV curing process. Recognition properties were evaluated by absorption experiments at different concentrations of ALP. The results indicate that thermosensitive ALP imprinted biomaterial films have the binding site for ALP. The release properties of ALP was examined with the change of pH and temperature. The results indicate that ALP release in pH 10.0 and high temperature was higher than in pH 4.0 and low temperature. In addition, the applicability as a transdermal drug delivery patch was verified by the artificial skin test. |
