We present flexible and highly conductive electrode which is double-layer structure of gold ribbons and Ag NWs embedded in polymeric substrate. A layer of paraffin wax was prepared on silicon substrate by bar coating method. Subsequently, prism-shaped PDMS stamps were pressurized on the layer to fabricate the same shaped paraffin layers between exposed silicon surfaces. Gavanic displacement reaction replaced silicon surfaces to Au RBs. Ag NWs were arranged into surface of Au RBs. Thermal treatment removed wax templates therefore only double-layer structure of Au RBs and Ag NWs were remained. Lastly, PDMS was cured on the samples and peeled off from substrates, embedded double-layer structures were fabricated in polymeric substrates. Electrical properties were characterized by measuring relative change in resistance under several types of mechanical deformation. In addition, AC voltage-driven ECL device was fabricated by utilizing the embedded double-layer as a deformable electrode. |
