Hybrid nanomaterials with multi-functionality and synergistic properties of the individual components are promising for diverse applications. The nanohybrids generated by combining nano metal-organic frameworks (NMOFs) and other components, such as metallic nanoparticles, nanosilica offer substantially enhanced catalytic performances, including selectivity and recyclability. However, the design and development of nanosilica core–NMOF shell nanohybrids with application-orientated properties and a high density of active interfaces are still challenging. In this work, the synthesis of nanohybrids composed of dendritic fibrous nanosilica as the core and titanium-based NMOF as the shell are investigated. The obtained nanohybrids show an enhanced photocatalytic performance. |
