In this study, the novel silicon-containing oligomer with perfluoropolyether moiety was synthesized by ring opening polymerization of hexafluoropropylene (HFPO) and successive transformation of end group. The chemical structure of new anti-smudge coating material for various displays was characterized by 19F-NMR and 1H-NMR. The several important surface properties as contact angle, sliding angle, and the anti-soil property were investigated after formation of ca. 15nm thick polymer film. As a result, the fluorinated silicone oligomer showed smaller sliding angle and better soil release property than commercial products used widely on optical components. Therefore we confirmed that it is possible to utilize the novel fluorinated silicone oligomer as a top anti-smudge coating material of optical components. |
