제목 Integration of PSA microarray assays with microchip based whole blood plasmapheresis
초록 Current efforts in the development of microarray affinity binding assays are quickly converging toward dense sandwich based assays. Many of these are not truly quantitative and do also require extensive sample preparation prior to performing the binding assay. To address these shortcomings we are currently developing lab-on-a-chip integrated technology to perform continuous flow based blood plasma generation for clinical diagnostics. The clinically approved plasma is produced by removal of the cellular content by means of microchip acoustophoresis. We are now also combining the plasmapheresis technology with our antibody microarray technology based on nanoporous subtrates for quantitative analysis of prostate specific antigen and related biomarkers, providing our first step towards an integrated biomarker microarray based diagnostic platform with whole blood input and diagnostic readout.
