Indoles are widespread compounds in nature containing two fused aromatic rings that are a six-membered benzene ring and a five-membered pyrrole ring. Due to their diverse biological activities such as antiviral, anti-inflammatory, anticancer activities and others, developing an effective synthetic method of indoles is in high demand. Herein, we suggest a novel and efficient synthetic method for 2,3-disubstituted indoles that are rather difficult to prepare. In this study, the intramolecular cyclization method of several indole precursors using non-metal catalysts will be reported. |
