제목 Concentration of Aquaporin Incorporated Liposomes and Water Purification Using Preconcentration Device
초록 Aquaporin is an amazing bio-filter due to its high selectivity and efficiency. However, there was no technique to develop it as a chip; therefore aquaporin has not been used in industrial purification field so far. Especially, the low stability of artificial biological membrane and its productivity have been the largest factors that prevent the industrial use of aquaporin. With high reproducibility and durability of liposome, concentrating aquaporin incorporated liposomes and using it as element of the device can become an effective strategy to resolve the problems. In this paper, we suggest a technique for water purification by concentrating proteoliposomes. The durability of proteoliposome was increased using PEGDA linker, containing amine groups; it was possible to concentrate, electrically. PDMS channel surface and proteoliposome were bound by EDC/NHS reaction. Consequently, the rejection ratio represented 34.4% in this device. This result shows possibility of the technique to be applied for water purification.
