Application of Photocharged TiO2/WO3 Composite Catalyst Membrane Filters for Photochemical Oxidation, Electron charge |

This study applied photochargeable inorganic membrane filter system using heterojunction TiO2 and WO3 composite. This system used practical method without the addition of chemical oxidants under dark condition. And this study demonstrated that reactive oxygen species (ROSs ; O2•- and HO2•) in pre-photo charged TW composite catalyst membrane filter. This is successfully enables Arsenite [As(Ⅲ)] oxidation. The photocharging and discharging processes were influenced by reaction conditions (Air, N2, O2), ratio of TiO2/WO3 and phtocharging time. These conditions enable the sufficient generation of ROSs via O2 reduction using electrons accumulated in TiO2/WO3 during pre-photocharging for achieving the effective oxidation of As(Ⅲ) in the dark condition. This membrane filter is simple to make and environmentally friendly because can be easily reusable and recharged without the requirement of additional physical and chemical separation steps. |
