제목 Harnessing Semifluorinated Backbone in the Heterograft Copolymer by Sequential Grafting-through/Grafting-from Polymerizations
초록 A heterograft copolymer consists of different polymer side chains grafted along the backbone. Here we propose a new synthetic route to a heterograft copolymer with a semifluorinated backbone by sequential “grafting-through” and “grafting-from” polymerizations, and its further use for mesoporous polymer synthesis. Alternating copolymerization of chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE) with vinyl ethers including polylactide (PLA)-tethered one affords PLA-grafted P(CTFE-alt-VEs). Then, chlorine atoms in the backbone are used as initiating sites for atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) for polystyrene grafting. Copolymerization of styrene and divinylbenzene followed by PLA etching produces a mesoporous polymer with fluorinated pore surface, which may enhance chemical stability.
