Helical polymers have attracted many attentions due to their various characteristics, such as chirality, right- and left-handed helices. However, controlling the structure of helical polymers is still a challenging issue. Most works have focused on changing the chemical structures. Different backbones have been developed to enhance the helicity and different substituents have been studied to control the interaction with polymer itself and other guest molecules. On the other hand, works on controlling physical structures such as molecular weight, its distribution, and preparing block copolymer was relatively limited. In this study, we prepared polyisocyanides with end-functional groups. Alkyne group was introduced as the end-functional group. The group could be used as a reacting anchor in azide-alkyne click chemistry to form helical-coil block copolymers. |
