Thremoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is widely used due to its flexibility and processibility. Furthermore, azido-thermoplastic polyurethane (ATPU) has a lot of availability since it can introduce functional groups which are utilized for diverse applications. To enhance its physiochemical properties, we synthesized ATPU according to the composition ratio and analyzed them to compare with each others. First of all, the synthesis of Poly(ECH-co-THF)diol (PET) is proceeded depending on epichlorohydrin (ECH)/tetrahydrofuran (THF) composition ratio. Second, we accelerated the reaction between PET and sodium azide to get Poly(GAP-co-THF)diol (PGT) which is substituted from chloride groups to azide groups. By using PGT, Methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI), and 1,4-butandiol (1,4-BDO), we could synthesized ATPU. Also, we performed FT-IR and NMR analysis to verify the physiochemical properties. |
