The shear thinning property is a property that the viscosity changes according to the shear rate. This property is widely used in the industry. For example, Transport rocks in the drilling process or used in paint etc. The existing studies analyzing the shear thinning properties have mainly focused on the viscosity according to the volume fraction of the suspension solid or analyzing the shear thinning behavior of the suspension in only one state. Therefore, in this study, by modifying the existing cross mode, we developed a model formula that can input not only the shear rate but also the dispersion of particles as variables. The model formula was validated through the bentonite suspension, which is a drilling fluid. Through this study, it is possible to know the viscosity according to dispersion at a certain volume fraction and calculate the optimal dispersion of particles in the pipe flow. |
