Recently, OPVs based on polymer donors and non fullerene small molecular acceptors (SMAs) have received attention to overcome the weakness of OPVs. We have previously reported conjugated polymers, PBDTT-8ttTPD, containing benzodithiophene derivatives (BDT) with 3-octyl-thieno[3,2-b]thiophene π-bridged thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6(5H)-dione (ttTPD). We synthesized three batches of PBDTT-8ttTPD having different molecular weight (Mn, Mw) and fabricated the OPV devices based on PBDTT-8ttTPD as the polymer donor with ITIC as non fullerene acceptor.The PCE of device varied from 5.76% to 11.05% depending on the molecular weight of PBDTT-8ttTPD. Additionally, the best performance of 11.05% applied high molecular weight polymer and ITIC was higher PCE then that reference OPV device with PC71BM (7.86%). Mn have an strongly impact on charge properties and blended film morphology, which have a critical impact on the OPV performance. |
