The main objective of this research was to development natural flours filled biodegradable bio-composites for car interior materials. Research and focus on the enhancing the mechanical properties and thermal stability of bio-composites with natural flours, the improvement interfacial adhesion between biodegradable polymer and flour, and the reduction of volatile organic compounds from these composites. With increase adding flours, the tensile and flexural strength of PLA bio-composites decreased. However, the loading 3 wt% compatibilizer increased this strength up to PLA bio-composite with 10 wt% loading flour. The degradation temperature of PLA was reduced by loading flour but, destarched cassava flour has more thermal stability for its high lignin content than pineapple flour, which is result in more thermal stability of PLA bio-composites with destarched cassava flour than with pineapple flour. And thermal degradation temperature was increased by adding MAPLA. |
