Effect of eggshell membrane on polypropylene as a bio filler |

The objective of this article was to study the tactile, mechanical, and thermal properties of eggshell membrane (ESM) / polypropylene (PP) composites. The ESM powders were obtained from the chicken eggshell wastes. The ESM/PP composites were prepared with different proportions of ESM as a bio filler using a co-rotating twin screw extruder. The ESM/PP composites showed high plane friction coefficient than that of neat PP. The ESM is expected to enhance the tactile property as a bio filler in thermoplastic composites. |
