제목 Synthesis of single-crystalline graphene colloidal quantum dots and their application to perovskite photodetectors
초록 Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) are carbon nanomaterials derived from graphene. Due to the small size of GQDs at the nanometer scale, they can interestingly exhibit a bandgap due to the combined effects of edge effect and quantum confinement. So far, research on synthesis methods of GQDs is still ongoing, and a reliable bottom-up method for synthesizing hexagonal single crystalline GQDs has not been fully developed. Herein, we introduce a reproducible bottom-up synthesis method for single crystalline GQDs. We synthesized blue-light emitting single crystalline GQDs by first creating Amadori products and then forming C=C bonds through a spontaneous dehydration reaction. By embedding the synthesized GQDs in a metal halide perovskite layer for perovskite photodetector applications, we observed the characteristics of reduced dark current, increased detectivity, and fast response.
