Evaluation of Extracellular Matrix (ECM) immobilization on Biphasic Calcium Phosphate (BCP) multichanneled granule for Bone Regeneration |
초록 |
Extracellular matriX (ECM) consists of vast array of complex proteins and trace amounts of growth factors that can be beneficial in tissue regeneration. ECM was immobilized on the surface of Biphasic Calcium Phosphate (BCP) multi-channeled granule. Characterization of modified granules were determined by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and electron dispersive sprectroscopy (EDS). Bioactive molecules of ECM such as collagen, sulfated glycosaminoglycan and growth factors were quantified. Cyto-compatibility of modified granules were assessed by MTT with rat bone marrow stem cells (BMSC) for 1 and 7 days. ALP activity and mineralization for 7 and 14 days were also evaluated. ECM surface modified granules were implanted in rabbit’s femoral defect for 4 and 8 weeks to determine its bone regeneration capacity and assessed by micro-CT and histological staining. |
