We present the synthesis and dispersion properties of alkylated and perfluorinated metallophthalocyanines (R-MPcs and Rf-MPcs) respectively. The R-MPc and Rf-MPc were prepared by direct tetramerization of alkylated and perfluorinated phthalonitrile, respectively, in the presence of proper metal salts. Due to the presence of peripheral substituents, the prepared MPcs exhibited controllable solubility in selected solvents. Taking advantage of alkylated- and perfluorinated-chain interactions and/or flat structural features of Pc macrocycles, molecular wrapping of MPc around carbon nano-materials was intended as a measure to produce noncovalent supramolecular complexes. These MPc-nanocarbon complexes of were analyzed by various characterization methods, including UV-vis, PL, FT-IR, Raman, TGA, SEM, and XPS measurements. Furthermore, the dielectric and electrical properties of MPc-CNT/PVDF composite film were investigated. Detailed results will be presented in the poster session. |
