Membrane can be used as catalytic reactor module because of its high surface area to volume ratio. However, metal catalyst embedded membrane fabrication requires labor intensive processing. Here, we use single-step solvent transfer-induced phase separation method to prepare hollow fiber membrane. In addition, metal catalyst coated membrane is achieved by simply shacking using tannic acid as reducing and stabilizing agent for metal nanoparticles on membrane surface. Morphologies of hollow fiber membrane structure are changed depend on composition of the ternary mixtures and UV irradiation condition. In order to compare catalytic properties of each structure and figure out best structure for catalytic reaction process, the Suzuki-Miyaira cross-coupling reaction was carried out. This membrane reactor facilitates continuous production without a separation step of the catalyst from the product. |
