제목 | Preparation and optimization of tripolyphosphate-crosslinked pH-sensitive chitosan/HA microspheres for catechin delivery |
초록 | Catechin is a major polyphenol compound in green tea and has strong antioxidant activity along with anticancer and antibacterial activity. The strong bioactivity of catechin encouraged frequent usage as an additive in cosmetics. On the other hand, research on the application of catechins in the field of skin tissue engineering is also necessary. In this study, catechin-incorporated chitosan microspheres were prepared to utilize the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities of catechins. The feasibility of the development of controlled release system of catechins using chitosan/HA blend was also investigated. Therefore, pH-sensitive chitosan/HA microspheres were fabricated by using TPP as a crosslinking agent, and the reverse emulsion-ion crosslinking method. Results indicated that the manufacturing conditions such as chitosan/HA blend ratio, TPP concentration, and homogenization rate on morphology and drug release rate induced substantial effects on the natures of microsphere. |
