제목 | Study on the Performance of the Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Dependent on the Oligomer-Electrolytes Property |
초록 | In solid state dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), energy conversion efficiency was generally lower than that of liquid state DSSCs. The one of these causes is poor contact between electrodes and electrolytes in the solid state DSSCs. Therefore oligomer-approach was used to improve contact, and new solid state DSSCs being much higher energy conversion efficiency than conventional solid state DSSCs have been developed1-3. In this study, the performance of the DSSC dependent on the oligomer-electrolytes property was investigated. To confirm the effect of oligomer-electrolyte types, three kinds of oligomer-electrolytes (PEGDME, PEG, PPG) having similar molecular weights were used, and the mole ratio of the ether group in oligomer-electrolytes to iodide was controlled to define the influence of ionic concentration in the electrolyte. In addition, two kinds of cations (MPII, KI) were utilized to verify cation effect. First of all, the properties of oligomer-electrolytes were characterized. The ionic conductivity was measured by using an impedance analyzer, and the diffusion coefficients of I- and I3- were tested using a scanning electrochemical microscope. Moreover, the DSSCs used the oligomer-electrolytes were manufactured, and the performance of those were investigated. As the result, in the case of PEGDME and MPII, the DSSC shows best performance, and the optimal mole ratio of the ether group to iodide was varied depending upon the oligomer-electrolytes and cations.
