End group cross-linked highly sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (SPAES) was prepared by in-situ casting thiol-ene click reaction with allyl polysulfone (APSf). The end group cross-linking effects such as physiochemical properties and proton conductivity of cross-linked SPAES (C-SPAES) membranes were investigated by changing the contents of polymeric cross-linker, APSf. The C-SPAES membranes showed remarkably enhanced chemical and mechanical properties compared with pristine SPAES. Moreover, while the proton conductivity of pristine SPAES membrane couldn’t be estimated because of the low stability from highly sulfonated structure, C-SPAES membranes exhibited high proton conductivities and high stabilities. |
