제목 Formation of crosslinked cellulose films on the surface of silicon hydrogel contact lens by acetalization between hydroxy groups and glutaraldehyde
초록 General silicon hydrogel (SH) lenses are siloxane-based polymers, rather than water, for oxygen transport through the bulk of the lens. Therefore, theses SH contact lenses suffer from low water content. Water content is an important feature of the various plastics used to make soft contact lenses. Higher water content lenses are potentially beneficial because dry eye symptoms such as irritated, scratchy and red eyes when wearing them could be prevented. In this study, we investigated water content of crosslinked cellulose films introduced on the surface of SH contact lens by acetalization between hydroxy groups and glutaraldehyde.
