2,4'-Dihydroxy-6'-methoxy-3',5'-dimethylchalcone(DMC) is a natura compund extracted from plants that has been getting attraction for its pharmacological activies. In this study we report on the total synthesis of 2',4',6'-Trimethoxy-3',5'-Dimethylchalcone derivative starting from phloroglucinol.The final chalcone skeleton structure was synthsized through Claisen-Schmidt condensation with a disired benzaldehyde dericative. The product was analyzed by 1H-NMR. |
